We developed together with the Salt Lab at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) a multispectral handheld sensor based on the Compolytics® ScanCorder platform to quantitatively measure various quality traits of Salicornia seeds. After about 9 months of development, including several measurement campaigns and machine learning-based modelling utilising our proprietary modelling platform, the first set of two devices was delivered in May 2024. The sensors are now being used for a large-scale Salicornia breeding programme.
